Creating totems has become a small passion of mine. Each time I create something similar to this painting, I am struck by the hidden meanings of rocks and symmetry and balance and contrast.
life is all about balance in that no one can do all things at all times and do them well. But each process or step that we take in our life, each decision we make move us in a direction of balance or imbalance. Just as these rocks convey the idea that they’re it a point at which all this could fall apart. The beauty of rocks and balance causes us to examine our lives and see if we live in harmony of balance with all that we are doing and experiencing
